Default HELP!!!installing oldish internal hardrive into new desktop HELP!!

I already got the sheet scared out of me, i was trying to do this while the computer was on, and the clips touched and my comp immediately shut off.
had to be on the phone with customer service for 15 min.
hopefully you guys can help!!

i am putting this hardrive in for memory purposes. the original hardrive ( 100gig) i want to be the master hardrive, and the 7 gig hd i am putting in now, as the slave.
there are important documents on the 7 gig hd that i need to receive.
here are some pics
try to bear with the fuzzyness
i edited the photos so its easy to tell me what goes in what
i think that P5 goes into "1"

P6 goes into 2? theres alittle white plastic thing that covers 2 of the clips. with them on i cant get "P6" on

and the ribbon fits

The PATA cable (ribbon) goes on 3 and will only fit one way. The p6 connector is for use in Floppy drives of Card readers or sometimes fans, not for the 2 slot. And the P5 goes into the 1 slot and will only fit one way. The 2 slot is so you can set the jumpers to tell the drive that it's a slave, master, or cable select.
