The best GUI seen on Linux distros will be found in the Live for cd versions. Ran Fedora Core 4 for a time without getting anything done like finding sound and video drivers mainly sound. ATI fortunately has some drivers available. But those would be for newer not older distros. Now you stated that you were running 32mb on what system? An old 386 or 486 equivalent machine? Or are you just running an old Pentium PC100 simm machine with little memory? The latest versions will expect better hardwares to support them.
