Default which laptop should i get out of these two?

the respective prices dont really matter, so these are the two notebooks:

http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/ASUS_...1H/version.asp

and

http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/ASUS_...3H/version.asp

im going to be using the laptop for CAD, microsoft office, and GAMES, not modern shader model 3 games just stuff like counter strike source and similair.
this laptop should play games better than my desktop:
512 RAM
3.2ghz pentium 4
120gb @ 7200rpm
geforce 5200 256mb
i play css @ 50 odd fps, with med graphics settings, i would prefer an increase in performance too
i know the laptops are virtually the same, but they cant be, so whcih is better for me?

They're just about the same, but the AMD version comes with a bigger HD. So if you want an extra 20gb, I'd shell out the 16-17 bills for it. As for speed, they're just about the same.

No, it's a good processor. I like Pentium M's better (but that's just a preference), but between these two, the speed difference isn't much. So I think the deciding factor would be the HD space. Many can live with only 80gb, and some would rather have more the better.

yes the amd is better, though i am surprised that the PM is not at a higher clock speed. anyway it would still be as good almost as your desktop processor

of course in a laptop the components never work as well as in a desktop

I would have to lean towards the Pentium M actually, since it will most likely work better in CAD, and may work better in games.
