Default Samsung Digimax A7

Hi, I have a samsung digimax a7, I was wondering if you could put a 1gb or maybe even 2gb SD card in it. I e-mailed samsung and they said they only guarantee upto 512mb. If anyone has any advice please reply.

Well, you can try to see if it will work, it won't damage the camera. The best way to find this out is to take one of your friend's 1GB cards and see if the camera recognizes it. If not, then you know that 512 is all you can do...

I have the same camera and it works with a 1 GB card in it, I think its Lexar but I'm not positive. However, memory cards and the devices they're used in can be quite fickle - the only reason I have the card in the camera is because it wouldn't work in my mp3 player.

I had a Minota once and some cheaper 256M card, and half the time, the camera would say it couldn't use the card! And, I know some of my cards don't work in a few of my card readers...

Heh, so, it might work, it might not Look around for specs/manuals, and see what it's rated for. And spend more for the card, don't go cheap. I've seen people with cheap cards that just plain died on them. They lost all their pictures and the card couldn't be reformated...
