maybe a mac?

Hello,

I recently decided that I want to sell my gaming computer and buy a laptop. My budget is about 1000 US dollars and I am interested in the intel core duo processor (1.66), 1 GB of RAM and a 100 GB HD. Although, as of recently I have been looking into macs and I was wondering if someone could help me out with specs of a mac that are compareable to the specs I listed above for the PC? Thank you very much, your help is very appreciated.

What is everyones thoughts on mac vs PCs. I will mostly be using the computer for movie viewing, listening to music, and any other basic things that college student needs to perform with their computer.
