Ok so I wont on computers (normaly desktops) someone gave me a laptop to work on today and the power pack is makign a really loud buzzing sound. I mean very loud. The computer is a little over half a year old. Bad???!!!

the power pack? it sounds like its about to go out to me... maybe there's a fan inside but i highly doubt it... but it sounds like it's about to die...
why did you get it to work on in the 1st place? |

a lot of power packs will make a buzzing noise... it often gets worse the more power you draw from them. Its not so obvious on modern ones though
