Default 7800 GTX or 7900 GT?

Hey fellas I was checking newegg.com and found out that 7800 gtx is a lot more than 7900 gt

7800gtx=$350-$400
7900gt=$300-$350

which one should i get?

i think i heard the 7900gt deos just as good as the 7800GTX

I would go with the 7900GT.

take a look at the X1800XT if you want an ATI. It is about as good as a 7900 GT.

They have similar benchmarks, but from what I've heard, the 7900 has difficulty with artifacting and other graphical errors.

i'd say go with the 7900gt, i hear it performs better plus it's got a higher clock (that is if you're comparing the 256MB versions of both). and if you overclock, having a higher starting point always helps. and obviously cause the 7900 is cheaper. there's a good article here at Guru3d if you wanna read up on some comparisons.

Thats way too much I got mine brand new on ebay for $220 I have never tried the 7800gtx so I cant compare but my 7900gt rocks I love it!
