Default Never Reformatted... Help?

Hey guys... ignore the post count because they don't mean anything I have a newb question.

I've had Windows 2000 for a long time now and I've been getting sick of taking all this crap from my buds at the LAN parties that we have. I want to reformatt my hard drive and put Windows XP Professional on it. However, I lost my drivers to my motherboard because I built my PC so long ago .

Can I get my drivers from the manufacturer website? The mobo that I have is in my sig. My dad built this PC for me so I don't even know how this process works.

So could you guys help me out? Thanks so much! I've been wanting to do this forever but my dad is always busy so I thought "what the heck? I need to learn this anyway!"

Thanks for ya'lls help!

I get my drivers from the chip maker- motherboard, video card, what ever. They seem to have newer ones than the board or card maker

Do I need to download all of those drivers? Or do I just need to go to Gigabyte.com, find my mobo, and then just download the drivers? Can I even do that?

No, those are just general marker drivers for hardware. Yes you can just go to the Gigabyte site

Thanks dude! Anything else that I should be aware of when reformatting? I'm completely new to this...
