I've never faithfully used it, I've always loved WMP and MM Jukebox. I don't see what all the hype is about.

Although I personally use it, it's one of the biggest resource hoggers of all the media players, and often slows down my pc's shutdown by quite a margin. I use it simply because it's the cleanest format (in my opinion) to search for the stuff I want to play and to play it. I only wish there was a 'start minimized' option.

I cant stand MM Judebox. It always came preinstalled on one of my systems and was Slower than a turtle on sleeping pills. WMP just never seems to have the right codecs(No H.264
!!!) but besides that is very useful for what itunes cant play. |

Yea, i agree with magicman. Wow itunes takes a lot of resources. Its fine if you have up to about 800 songs, but after that it slows down, way down. I use media player 10 and it works great!

you have many things you can do with it, and if you need some help or suport, you can go to the itunes forum on www.apple.com Chris

IT does take up alot of system resoucres i have like 100 videos and it will crash on me some times when i try to play a video. I know ive gotten it up to 60,000 kb memory and 98 CPU but its not as bad as what ive gotten with firefoxs Memory leak.

Nay.
I want something that will load up, get my song files, and play them. When I tried Itunes... Loaded, got my songs, converted all of them, which took several several hours... over thousands of songs... then somehow seemed to organized it differently... However, I'm not a user of it, so I can't really say much. But that's my experience and I didn't like it one bit.

I like the style of iTunes but have mainly only really used it to rip to mp3's. If you choose to adopt it, don't let it convert your music from AAC to another format. Once compressed, you'll lose quality if you convert to another compressed format.
