Default Quick Help me Big Problem

Hi all..

I'm new here at the boards... But I've got a "stupid" question meaby...

1. I've got an old AMD 900 Mhz... And it's really weird.. When I start my computer up and write the l/p it logs me in.. But When it's just opening windows it restarts... So I can't get into windows what do I do?

2. I want for format C:\ and I know how to boot from a cd..

The only problem there is that it say: Push a key to boot from Cd-rom... Then I ofcouse push a buttom but nothing happens?

What should I do.. Need to fix my com quick... Thanks...

download Knoppix (knoppix.net) if you already haven't and get into your BIOS config (you'll be told to press a key on the first screen)
The the BIOS config loads, go to the "Boot" tab and then go to "Boot Device Priority" Make sure your CD-ROM drive is selected to be the first option. If if isn't, select the first option, press "enter" on ur keyboard, select "CD-ROM" and press "enter" again.

If you've got more than one CD-ROM drive:
On the main "Boot Device Priority" screen, there will be on option for CD-ROM drives. select this and choose te first CD drive you want the computer to check for a bootable cd.

I dont suppose you have a USB keyboard do you? If so its most likely not being recognized until windows starts. Plug in a PS2 keyboard if thats the case.
