laptop screen

Alright so i have an hp pavilion ze5300 and part of the screen is screwed up because somebody like punched the screen and i can only see half. Anyways i was wondering for the screen if i could replace it with like any 1 pavilon lcd? Like there is one on ebay that is a 15" lcd from an old pavilion but i don't want to buy a lcd if it wont like be compatable with this screen.

if ebay says the LCD is compatible with your laptop then it more than likely is
