Exclamation one v v angry bunny

argh i angry. i bought a HP pavilion pc in oct 04. in oct 05 it went with a big bang suddenly and i had a new motherboard, power supply and fan put in.

3 days ago it popped again and ive had yet another new motherboard put in.

Wot the hell is going wrong with it. Ive been told that it could be the case which is not earthed correctly. The first time it did it it shocked me. its really doin my head in now and im fed up of forking out cash to fix it. I cant afford a new computer yet so ive gotta stick with this one but if i know why it keeps blowing up then i could help to prevent it.

Il never buy another HP computer again. They wont even speak to me on the fone because it is out of warranty. They put the fone down the other day because the said i was acusing them of selling unsafe products. how dare they!

il be happy if anyone has an answer to my problem or if anyone has had this problem before.

What material is the power button? Is there anything metallic and non-computer related touching any components? If the power button is metallic, you could very well be transferring static to other parts.

its a plastic button. Its the only thing that still lights up when the motherboard goes. Ive had a new powersupply put in and its still blown. Theres nothing wrong with the power supply this time. Im having an earthing strip put in it. The computers kept in like a box thing under the desk. Its a proper desk for it. I dont really like it there id rather it b on top of the desk so im getting a new desk for it.

I would get a UPS if I were you, you could be having power surges.

The case shocking you is not abnormal, any time I touch my case there is a small amount of static electricity that I have collected. This electricity should not make it to the actual components.

ive got a power surge protector plugged into the wall and my computer is plugged into it. Ive had nothing but problems since i got this computer and with having most of the important stuff replaced you'd have thort it was more or less a new computer wouldnt you.

im getting it back today so il b messing about with it trying to get it all working again. HP wont talk to me and keep passing me to jessops saying that they would know the answer. they really are doing my head in at HP
