i was looking at this motherboard and im a noob and i was wondering if this motherboard is dual cored or not http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813188004 thanks

not i figured it out man this motherboard is based on the NVIDIA C19 + MCP04 chipset and supports Intel 775-pin processors including Pentium Dual-Core processors. ...

The motherboard isn't dual core, the CPUs can be dual core, motherboards have to support it.

Prescott's are only Pentium 4's, the Pentium D's are either a Smithfield or a Presler.

According to some reviews, if you want to have a dual-core CPU on that motherboard you need to flash the BIOS with a new one. But some people said that it didnt work for all Pentium D's. I would go with a motherboard that natively (out of the box) supports the Pentium D.
