Default Not As much gig?

Alright, I recently finished fixing and building my computer. Everything is fine, and when I boot, it says that the hard drive is at 300gb or someting like that. But, when I try and run everything, it seems liket there is only 120 gb because when I checked on disk space, it said 120 gb. I was wondering why so much gb became unused... Here's what I bought:
Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 300GB 3.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM

I think basically where elmarcorulz is going... Dose the drive show up as 300G in the bios? Your version of windows should be alright for such a drive. How did it show duing the installation when you had to format? Did it show the full size there?

Hmmm, well when I tried formatting it, it gave me 120 gb I think (Well it was in bytes, so it was huge, but the first three numbers were 120)
So, I'm not sure what's going on. When I boot my pc, it gives me
Detecting Ide 2 blah blah blah 300.1 gb. So, I guess, it is reading it as that or something... My motherboard is a BFG VNF4 Ultra nForce4 atx motherboard.

SP 1 doesnt support any more than 130 gb. You will need to get SP2 in order to see all of your hard drive space.
