how to connect laptop to another computer ?

Hi,
my windows in my laptop has died on me, is there any way to recover it ? I need to copy my hard drive to another computer, but I don't know how to connect laptop to another computer ?
What is the simplest way to do this and what I need ?
Can somebody help me with this ??
