Default Performance increase in doubling cache and adding NCQ?

I ordered a 36.7 GB raptor just two days ago, then read this morning that Western Digital have slapped an extra 8mb cache and NCQ onto this and the 74 GB raptors. Am I unlucky, or is the increase in performance not that great.
