Partition Question and help

I have a had drive that i couldnt be bothered to partition because i was lazy and now it needs to be in 160 sata 7200 and it hitachi i think. it has about 50gb on it.

it has programs and work on it. is it possible to partition it without having to take any thing off it, i'll be using partition magic 8. what else can i do? thanks all because i dont wanna have to take the programs off because they take ages to put back on and i dont have the time???
