What is with the huge price drop for the amd athlon 64 fx-53? It used to be 650 dollars now its 590 dollars at new egg.

Socket940 is discontinued that why the price drop. "Better" isnt comparable because its kinda like apples and oranges although id say the advantage leans to the FX53

Neither. Id get a FX55. Honest. I wouldnt consider either chip really.
