Default help help help

so i booted up my laptop just a few minutes ago and im getting this message...

IDE #0 ERROR
CLEINT MAC ADDR 000E 7B 38 46 90 GUID: 58A93A80 05C6 11DA 8050 B05D85032903PXE-E53

INSERT SYSYEM DISK IN DRIVE
PRESS ANY KEY WHEN READY....

so i indert the "system disk" or atleast what i think is the system disk and get this

intel boot agent fe v4.1.10

pxe-e61: media test failure, check cable
pxe-m0f: exiting intel boot agent
INSERT SYSYEM DISK IN DRIVE
PRESS ANY KEY WHEN READY....


o btw...toshiba a55

what is going on here???????? please help...

It is a problem with the hard drive. It having trouble accessing it.

What is this "system disk?"

i guess its like restore/drivers disk...thats the only disk i ever got with it so thats the only one i thought to use

Sounds like you don't have it set to boot to the CD-ROM... Do that and see about posibly running window's repair option first...unless you don't mind loosing your data on your HD.

at this point i dont really care...i just want my computer back

got into the bios and poked around...everything look normal...now i got back in and there is no primary drive listed now..

it says:
built-in HDD= no drive
cd-rom= secondary ide(170h/irq15)

ok, that is what I figured. Either the HDD is dead, or there is some other problem that is not letting the lappy access it. That is why you get a System Disk #0 error, it lost the hard drive, and can't find the operating system.

Basically the only thing that you can do is to replace the hard drive

if you dont know how 2 take apart a laptop, it's going 2 be a pain in the ass lol. you really just got 2 remember where the stuff went.

Naaahhh...hard drives and RAM are easy in a laptop. Processors aren't
