You should disable the integrated 6100 (if it is integrated into the mobo) in the BIOS and set it to the PCI-E slot.

Or what you can do is remove your new card and just use the integrated, then remove any software assoicated with it, and uninstall it from the device manager. Then restart with only the new card, and then install the new drivers.

ok i looked through the bios but i dont really see anythig that specifically says onboard/integratted video or GPU or anything like that..

are there any other names for these settings i should look for?

i was doing a bit of googling and came across a guy that said he needed to set a jumper on the mobo to disable the onboard video...maybe i need to?

by the way i did see a setting that said something about "onboard spectrum" and there were also things like "CPU spectrum" etc...they were all disabled...is that it?

^ That does not make sense. He can use it as long as he has the compatible socket...

Try what Omega said. Also, about the jumper thing, I've never heard of that. I'm pretty sure it'll be in the bios.

Perhaps it would be under video options, and then Primary Video type Integrated/AGP/PCI.
