Default downloading e-books

hey all. long time no post. hopefully i'll be back around more often now that i got a comp and internet.

got a question. my wife is wanting a copy of some books that she's read before. and i figured, we do everything else on the computer, why not try the e-book stuff.
does anyone know where you can download free e-books(legally).
i tried doing a google search but i couldn't find anything
i was possible not searching right or something?

anyways, any help will be appreciated as always.
thanks

those don't go together. you MUST pay for ebooks regardless if you have read them, even if you own them. the only exception is if the patent has run out. these are readily accesible at sites like project gutenburg and manybooks.net
