My friend suggested that I should get 2 7900GTs instead of the GTX. Wise idea?

SLI seems to be much better at higher resolutions so if your still wanting a 20" monitor with a resolution such as you listed beofre:

Quote:
MONITOR - A179-AL2021 CA :: Acer AL2021 / 20" / 16ms / UXGA / 1600x1200 / Black / DVI / LCD Monitor with Speakers (30 lbs)
Then i think that would be a better option, if you opt for a smaller monitor or something with a max res of 1024x1280 then i think the GTX would be better :-)

That's what I thought and still think, I read somewhere that some guys were complaining that it gets choppy in some games at certain settings. ???? ???? How is that possible?

This could be a bottle-neck somewhere else in the person that was complaining's computer.. like not enough ram, processor or hard drive that cant keep up.. maybe even an overheating problem.
