Internet Explorer 6.0 Issues...

I wasn't sure where exactly to post this, and from the description in the Thread Category, I am going to assume that this is the correct place.

The root of my problem is this. Usually when I wish to download a .WMV file, I recieve an option to save the file to my computer. However, recently whenever I try to download something of .WMV nature, it automatically loads it into my Windows Media Player.

My question is how do I resolve the problem? How do I alert my computer to ask me to save it to My Computer instead of automatically loading it?

You can post it or under operating systems while the preferred is http://www.computerforum.com/internet-discussion/ When you go to download any file the option to close box upon completion is checked to see the box close before it can be run. If you have more then one media player you could also set one of those as the default player. That would usually stop the autoloading of WMP. Clearing your browser history and offline content may also help with that.
