Hi

Just got a new mainboard ASUS K8V-MX Motherboard and AMD Sempron 3000 Cpu I loaded windows Xp it booted worked fine for 3 days then after POST came up with black screen and i could not boot from CD or hard drive Western Digital 80GB 8MB IDE Had to go set the boot list again in bios to boot from cd to reload windows What could have caused this as i do not want to reload windows every 3 days thanks

I took out 512 mb of ram i not have 1 stick of ram (512)

you could have had a harddrive error happens rarely but happens.

most likeley wont happen again

Thanks for your help, have you ever had this happen to your computer,I am just worried now that it may happen again
was thinking of getting a new mainboard that would be overkill eh c ya
