windows xp windows/system32/config/system file is corrupt
my windows/system32/config/system file is corrupt is therre a way to fix it ?
i installed a fresh copy of windows xp on a different partition in a different partition so i still have the old files and i can boot windows the only problem is my new copy has none of my settings and ill have to reinstall all of them when i try to repair the file using the xp disk in a dos setting i cant figure it out cause i dont know what im doing anyone have a solution?

sorry i was on the phone when i was typing
I installed another win xp on the same HD on a different partition so i can log onto the computer with windows and see the old WIN XP files
