If i understand you correctly.

In firefox goto:
1. Tools>options>privacy
2. Click the history tab
3. Click the "Clear browsing history now" button.

Have you cleared your cookies?

Simple solution would be to download CCleaner.

Exactly what it says in the description. Removes all history/junk. Although you can make firefox clear that on closing sometimes i find it a bit inconvenient.

Or you can go Tools>>clear private data>> and check the history button, and hit clear.
