How does that help his problem? It doesn't. He didn't ask for an alternative to Norton did he.

What id suggest is once its uninstalled, run RegCleaner to get rid of the registry entries Norton leaves behind. This should solve the problem. But Norton is known for being a bastard to uninstall fully

Try this, as it works for Windows XP so give it ago.

Got to run and type 'regedit'
then select HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
then select SOFTWARE
then select NORTON

And when you find the NORTON directory, try and find a file their which has basically randomised numbers when you select MODIFY, and basically jsut change the numbers to anything you like.

Then reinstall norton.

I doint have norton so not able to try it but i know the procedure for doing it for windows so im sure its got to eb similar.

Good luck

Next time you could try posting about his problem?

I would suggest just reinstalling completly, I know it may take a while, but It would prabally be easit way to make sure its done right. IMO anyways. There may be other ways as suggested.
