It is possible but very unlikely.

Worst case I would say it would be the processor that is fried.


Have you tried resetting the BIOS. and double check those jumper settings for Clear CMOS. Also did you try removing non essential devices.

The only time that I have seen this issue was when i Really fried a Processor and when the clear CMOS jumper was set to clear.

most other issues unless it is power/motherboard will atleast give you some kind of post beep errors.
