I seriously doubt your average user will change the OS on their new Dell to something like Linux or back to XP
Maybe because what is now considered an "average user" is actually a "average Windows user" and doesn't know that there is an alternative to Windows.

I do agree about XP, what would be the point in that: Being forced to buy a vista licence when you buy your PC only to not use it and put your old XP on.

I think it wont. Because people are already complaining about the specs just for the BETA version
Well, when it is released that wont be as high end of a system as it is now. Both of my two main copmtuers can already run the beta that was realesed to public, and i dont think its going to get any worse for system specs.....

I think it will do well. I will dual boot for a while when it comes out. Prabally for a couple years untill i move compltly to vista.

Thats what a BETA is.....If it was stable then it would be complete and readyt for sale!

an plus the fact xp didn't into to much 3D depth, if you know what i mean, they only had the cloured taskbar, and thats it not no 3D fancy moving buttons
Yeah, that may be true NOW, but when XP came out it was just as true as it is for vista now.
