Smile Best free AV program??

Hey, just been looking up the freeware list and saw three AV programs:

AntiVir
Avast
and AVG (which I already have).

Just wondering which you rate the best?
I'm happy with AVG but if other people find the others better I'd consider swapping.

Good to get some other peoples opinions.

Cheers :-)

any of those should be fine.. that's why all three of them are listed. all free and pretty good. one or another will not find more errors, if so, very little more.

yeah I did some googling and found some reviews and this one seems to be along the same lines as them all.
http://antivirus.about.com/od/antivi...a/freeav_2.htm
They seem to al be pretty equal with Avast offering startup scans and some limited spyware adware stuff.

I like AVG but i think I'll give Avast a shot and see how that goes.

cheers guys

Coming from an AVG user, which happens to be the worst of the freebies, your attitude is understandable.Have a look here.Click online results, then Feb./2006 online results. If you also look at the latest 'Heuristics results', AVG is the worst by a mile.

AVG is better in my opinion (for free)
I'll take that back; only 7% accordinig to av-comparatives...
