Problem starting up

I've just built myself a new PC but evertime I start it I get a blue screen just before where it would start Windows, saying something like 'Windows was shut down to prevent damage to your computer', and it does this everytime, any ideas?

if you put your hard drive from your old pc into your new one this is the problem, windows doesn't like when too much hardware is changed so it crashes, you should try a repair install of windows, your programs should remain intact.

Well i've done that and it's now working

But now I've got a problem with the DVD drive ¬¬ haha.
