Default cutting costs?

ok these are all can prices. I was advised i need to get ddr400 ram instead of my 333 if i want to use the hardware to max potential... so i am trying to figure some stuff out and please advise if its worthed or not:

changes:
I can get the
opt 170 (dual, 2.0GHZ) at 475.00$ (-75$)
thermaltake 600 pus 159.00 (-21.00$)
wd caviar 7200rpm statII 160GB 100.00 (-20$)
which would get me 116.00 excess which means I can pick up 1GB of kingston PC3200 400MHZ for 105.00

please advise,

Where are you getting these prices at? They seem kinda overpriced.
