Error loading runshell.exe you must reinstall windows. ( friends windows 95 laptop )

Can anyone help me with this laptop. Well you could call it a laptop. But it is old and has windows 95 on it and when I put some files onto it and a bunch of other stuff. I turn it on again and it tells me Error loading runshell.exe you must reinstall windows. Do you know by any chance what I could do about that. I dont have the recovery cd / flopy. I lost it a long time ago ( does anyone know where I could ge the files and put them on a cd / floppy.). If you know how I can fix this and keep my files that would be awsome.

what are the specs? if it's higher than 250MHZ, put 98SE, 98 on it.

you dont have to have 250mhz for 98. i ran it on a 166mhz machine just fine.

I want 95 on it.

I just want to fix it and keep all of my data.
