Default Problem with file and print sharing on XP peer to peer

Hello all,

Just arrived on this forum and am desperately hoping for some help.

I am a volunteer technician in East Timor and am currently dealing with a peer to peer network on six XP professional computers.

My problem is this:

All of the machines bar one share files and printers without any trouble IE: double click the computer in the workgroup and your are in.

However, one of the computers, wheen you double click on the icon, asks for a login and password.

I would like to stop this occuring but am unable to find wjhere to turn it off and get it to act like all the other computers on the network.

All the computers have the same login and pasword at startup and they are all administrator accounts.

Please can someone advise

Thanx in advance

Rowan

Default

Go to the control panel and click on network connections right click on local area connection and go to properties and see if file and print sharing for Microsoft networking is installed. If it is not install it.
