installing vista beta

hi i am planning on installing vista on a partition on my hdd i have never done anything like this before and i would like to know if there is any free anti virus programs that will work on vista and if i install some recent games like oblivian will they work i am a total novice at this so any advice would help

I beleive that almost any programs that work on XP will also work on Vista.
