I work at my fathers Real Estate office and we are looking into backing up all our files on a computer. im looking for a scanner that will scan very quickly and alot of pages per minute im good with computers but i need to figure out a way to have it save automatically to the computer and continue with the next page or even save to an external hard drive? any ideas. thanks alot for reading

Well, if you have a multi-function machine with a paper feeder, most will scan the pages through the paper feeder, including multiple pages. You will probably need to find something similar to that if you were still looking for a standalone scanner. Something like this:
http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en...55-377689.html It won't really save the files automatically, but it will transfer the files to the computer for you to save, and then you can start the next series of scans. How many pages are we talking about, and what are the business's printing, copying needs?

thanks so much for your help. we will probably be buying this scanner soon. but if i am correct you were saying that it scans on to the comp and i can basically choose which i want to save? we need to do this scanning to back up our files. Just in case something were to go wrong
