digital cam dxg 568 help please

for christmast, yes 6 months ago, i got a dxg 568 digital camera. its a decent camera for the price. yet suprise, suprise, dxg helps none when it comes to troubleshooting. so im hoping maybe someone here knows. it says that it can be hooked up threw usb and be used as a webcam. now i have actually used it for about 2 min on 2 different occasions before, but neither time did i actually want to use it for a webcam. so anywho its hooked up, i know it does work, i just cant get it to work as a webcam when i want it to. i instaled the drivers already so dont think thats it? is this just a super crappy cam? or am i a super crappy cam user? thanks!

It's more than likely not you. We sell these cameras at work, and they're pretty much good for a person that is used to disposable cameras, that's about the only plus to them. As for your current problem, the only thing that I can suggest is the standard questions of if you recently installed any software, check for updated drivers, etc... Sorry...

well if you ever been to there website, its about as usless as spoiler on a civic... ok low blow. anyways i got the latest driver for it, there was only one, the same one that came with the camera. ya i know its a peice of crap, but my dad got it for me. i didnt really want one, i dont take that many pictures, but its neat and seeing as i didnt pay for it, i like it. i wrote to the technical support, and i will admit they respond quick, but they dont seem to know anything. they said my cam and another they made were the same and told me how to do it from using the other camera as a referance. but the cameras are nothing alike, go figure. so i write back and they now tell me that i need service pack 2 installed before it will work...... but if it has already worked once, why does it not want to work again? chevy didnt make it did they? hehe ok low blow again. so i guess the whole point is, dont buy DXG unless you want a cheapo. but ill still entertain other suggestions if any of you have them.
