I've got roughly 100 Dell Axim V51's running Window Mobile v5.0 that I'm using in a Point Of Sale (POS) environment. Is there anyway I can delete all the unneccesary programs so that my employees can't pull up myspace or games?
The only thing I could think of is to remove the options from the menus. I can't seem to actually delete the programs. Any ideas? |

I don't think you can delete the programs that come bundled with windows. You might be able to load a 3rd party software onto it to prevent certain programs from being accessed.

You can fun a filter at the server, or however you provide internet access..
Only allow very specific port request (known application) and block certain search words like myspace, games, porn etc.. I helped a friend with an internet cafe which had a router which would block specific words from being searched in the IE or google bar. OR use tweakui, and disable the start menu and everything that allows them to open any specifric program. IE. Disable-- run, start, Rright click. Only provide the icons which open the programs they are supposed to use.
