Default Help buying more memory

I was thinking of buying some memory for my computer.
At the moment i have 512mb ram.
I was thinking of buying another 512mb.
But when i open my computer up i cannot seem to find any infomation on the memory of what speed it is etc. i have had problems before installing new ram before becuz they were both different speeds so i just stuck with my 512ram.
My Comp is:
Processor:AMD Athlon XP 2400+ 2000MHz
Memory (RAM):512MB
Mainbroad: K7S8X

and my memory is Nanya 512mb
i do not know what the pc of the memory and i do not know how to find out.

Any suggestions what memory to buy or any help?

check in your bios, when your system starts up, hold F2, the information should be on the main screen

here's a couple starters, when you opened up your mobo, did you see what kind of mobo it is? if you can check (the name should be in the center of the mobo) i can check if it is dual channel ram capable, while your at it, see if you can see the brand of the ram, if not, its alright, it just seems weird to me because ddr266 is pc 2100 not 2300
