Default Error?

Hey,

Sorry for the double post, but I am having major laptop troubles. Everytime I start my computer in normal mode (not Safe Mode) I get a message titled RUNDLL. "An exception occurred while trying to run **C:\WINDOWS\system32\ldgbr13n.dll*,DllGetVerision ". Then my computer also does the thing where your background goes away and it has the button that says "Restore my Active Desktop". I need a lot of help. Please help asap.

Sincerely,

Alexander

go to
Start
Run
type msconfig
click the startup tab
under the "command" collum there should be a file called "C:\WINDOWS\system32\ldgbr13n.dll" which is the file you said earliar.
un-check the box next to that line.
Restart and see if that helps.

Default Quick Question?

Hey,

I was wondering if anyone knows what that does before I do it. I am confident that it will work and I thank you for yor advice but just for my own knowledge I am just curious about what it will do. Please let me know.

Sincerely,

Alexander

MSCONFIG is a program that can tell your computer what to do when it starts up, such as which programs to run. In this case, you are telling it not to runldgbr13n.dll. I had the same problem with a different file and that worked for me.
