Hi, I also am in the boat where I need to decide between skt 939 or AM2 for my new Athlon. I of course have done quite a bit of research since this planned computer build has been months waiting now.
My main question I can't find the answer to is the estimated prices of sockets 939 and AM2 for this next month (July). I've heard like most of you that there supposedly will be big price drops on the processors towards mid-late July to compete with Conroe. I want to go AM2 for all of the obvious reasons, but if skt 939 processors are decently cheaper than AM2 when this next big price drop comes, I would probably just go 939. So...do you think they will stay pretty much the same price like they are now or will skt 939 be cut in price even more so than AM2? Thanks.

The prices have already started to drop for single cores. I picked up a 3800+ for like $140 or so. But yes in a month the X2 r suppost to drop in price.
