Virtual camera driver for remote video stream

Hi, I have two pcs - one has a digital camera attached and the other does not. They are both on a network and I wish to stream the video from the camera to the other pc (ie. the one to which the camera is not directly attached). I don't just want to view the video - I want any application on the pc to be able to use the stream as though the camera is directly attached to it. Is there any software that can do this?
