Default Dell Inspiron 5000

yeah, just got another laptop , im wanting 2 know what the max ram s 4 this, it already has 384, thats probrably the max? can anybody tell what the max may be? thanks.

this is being clocked at 696MHZ, the original clock is 933MHZ, is there any way i can get the other 300MHZ or soo back?

I sounds like SpeedStep is doing it. Turn off the computer, plug it in to an outlet (with it's AC adapter) and turn it back on and see what happens. (you should get the extra speed back)

i just turned the laptop on a couple minutes ago, with the AC adapter plugged in.

should i shut down, and do that over?

load the CPU? get the CPU at 100%?

Yes. Your processor jumps up and down in speed when needed. So idling would bring you down, if you were doing heavy processing, it'll climb up.
