Hi,
My computer keeps making this constant, wierd noise (like a high pitched squeal). I am guessing that is might be a fan. It has been doing this for like a year or so by now does anyone know what might be wrong with it? Thanks! |

it could be a fan, open up your case and see if one of the fans isnt spinning and look and see if it is stuck. also it could be your monitor, they sometimes do that.

I don't think it is a fan because when i am doing something that take up a lot of memory it changes pitch like i can here my computer working. It is very weird! I have look inside a bunch of times but all the fans look fine (there are a couple that are kind of hidden so i cant see them). Anyone else have an idea why it makes this noise?

This could exactly could be a fan problem because when something uses a lot of memory your computer stressing more. Are your fans dusty? Clogged with dirt? Can you give the specs on your pc?

And also when I want to record something with my mic. and then play it on another computer or something the sound is in the backround and it is really annoying. And also right now i can hear it coming though my speakers. I have checked in side but i think (if it is a fan) it is the one I'm not sure how to get to.
