Overclocking Problem

I have a Sapphire 9800 Pro graphics card. My friend and I ran 3dMark on it and it worked fine. My friend overclocked it, ran the program and then restored it to defaults. It worked several times after that, but then one time I ran it and about half-way through the picture became distorted. It works fine underclocked, just not default. Is my card ruined as a result of overclocking?
