I have the X-fi Xtreme Music and its the best for gaming everything is crisp and clear and sounds alot better then my soundblaster live 24 bit one did. even with headphones everything sounds good cause the soundcard changes the sound to 5.1 in the headphones and sounds great.

If your only usage for the card will be gaming, then it's a fantastic card!

Exactly which one do you plan on getting?

I also had the Xtreme Music, and i was extremely pleased with it. My favorite thinkgs about it were the 24Bit crystalizer for music with speakers, and i especially loved the adavanced CMSS-3D function for headphones. I swear when i was playing a game with headphones, I would turn around because i thought i heard gunfire coming behind me!

I have it.

I am selling it now though, to whom I am not sure.

It's an excellent card, everything sounds so amazing with it. There really is a noticable difference in sound quality.

heh, yea those look sweet, but the problem is, is that im getting my computer when the Intel Kentsfield Quad-Core processor comes out, and that is gona be pretty expensive... i wus thinking like Logitech THX Z-5300e 280 Watts... or w.e. is equivalent to those at the time i buy my computer...
