Old coolers w/Core 2

Will older LGA 775 coolers work with Core 2 mobos? I have a Thermaltake Big Typhoon sitting in my closet that I would like to use on my next build.

guess so, if its still socket 775 then it should fit, so stick it on and see how it runs, doubt it would be worse than the intel stock fan.
