I have been lookin at http://configure.euro.dell.com/dells...rsdimen_3100_2 and am wondering if i can place a 'real' graphics card into it? and would it be good as a 'soft gaming' and multimedia machine?

1. You can place a real graphics card in it, I would guess it would be a PCI-e card which would give you plenty of options.
2. It would be OK for gaming, depennding on the amount of RAM you got and the GPU you purchased 3. For a better gaming machine, you would want an AMD processor. Dell currently does not sell them in that model. You could try HP for an AMD, or simply stick to Dell and get 2GB of RAM and a NICE GPU. You could also build it yourself which would give the best results for the money. (Best Option)

PCI has much lower bandwidth and quality than the new edition PCI-Express, meaning the video games run slower, don't look as good.
