post a list of all the parts in your computer in detail so we can see if all the parts are compatible. Most likley you have an incompatible part and its not allowing your computer to start up.

Ya like a Socket A CPU in a Socket 939 mobo, lol

You know what I mean, it can only be incompatible in a way it plugs in, if you can plug in the component then it's compatible, so if it's not working, it's either faulty or he's doing something wrong.

Check if you connected these properly:

Try unplugging everything from the motherboard except the switch to turn it on and the power supply. Than try to see if you get a "heartbeat" (i.e. fans turn on or POST beeps). If that works than plug everything back up carefully.

What happens if your mother boards voltage for the dimm slots is max of 2.1volts and your memory requires 2.8volts like some OCZ. Then would that be incompatable?

DDR2 (240-pin) operates at around 2V and DDR (182-pin) at around 2.5V-2.8V, dimms are totaly different so you can't fit a DDR2 RAM into DDR dimm.
