Default 1 AGP Slot, 3 PCI slots, 1 unknown?

as the title says, i have an unknown slot, wll unknown 2 me, it's like an inch bigger than a PCI slot, looks indentical, just bigger, any idea what it is?


and anybody know of any good AGP graphics cards? im just gonna get a 128MB.

What is the motherboard/computer?

Edit: Is this the GX240? Because if so, I know what you are talking about, and that is possibly just an extended PCI slot. I have no idea what it is for, but I have really only seen them in older computers (pre-1992)

OK, that is what I thought. But after doing some research, it isn't actually a PCI-X slot either (not the same as PCI-E, google it). I am not quite sure what it is, but a regular PCI card should work fine in it.

i dunno if a regualr PCI would work in there? it kinda looks like a newer version of a ISA, but they did away with thm a while ago.

Your picture is a bit blurry, but is this what it looks like?


If so, then those are PCI-X slots.

EDIT: Or im thinking that it could be a Dell PCI Riser board, such as this:

But again, im not positive.

Nope, it is neither. A PCI-X slot has a different configuration with the "pins" (or whatever they are called) and it isn't a riser board, either. What gets me is that it looks exactly the same as a PCI slot, except the second piece of it is longer.
